The Church Of Jesus is one of the oldest architectural elements on the island, and the most transformations have suffered throughout history. Its origins date back to the 15TH century, in what appeared to be a place of seafaring prayer, until it was occupied by the Franciscan monks. The monks moved to the convent church and remained as a chapel. Its original construction, of a single nave, corresponds to the defensive structures typical of the island. This original structure that is barely conserved in the churches of the island was changing with the passage of time and the new necessities gave origin to the House of the rector, of the SEVENTEENTH century and the house of the Vicar, a century later, coinciding with his declaration as a parish. The Typical porch is much more recent, from the late NINETEENTH or early TWENTIETH century.
