Taxi fares and prices in Ibiza

Taxi fares in Ibiza are set by the Consell d’Eivissa (the island council). The current ones were given final approval by its plenary session on 25 September 2026 (BOIB No. 122, 29 September 2026). They are maximum prices and come into force as the taximeters are checked and sealed. To work out the fare, add the following to the flag-fall charge (€4.35):

  • The distance: €1.32 per kilometre on weekdays and €1.60 per kilometre at night or on public holidays.
  • A €2.15 supplement if the journey starts or ends at the port or the airport.
  • A €1.60 supplement if you book the taxi by phone or through a GPS app.
  • Waiting time: €23.59 per hour on weekdays and €28.88 per hour at night or on public holidays.
  • There is no supplement for luggage.

If you are asked for a deposit to guarantee payment when booking, it cannot be more than the flag-fall charge plus the phone supplement: €5.95.

Tips to save time and money getting around

Getting around by taxi is not cheap, but here are some tips to save money and time on your journeys during your holiday.

  • Take the taxi at a rank: you will save the €1.60 supplement for booking by phone or app.
  • Luggage carries no supplement.
  • Avoid travelling around midday or at club closing time, when taxis are harder to find.
  • Do not use unlicensed taxis.
  • Ask for a receipt: it will make it much easier to trace the taxi if you need to recover a lost item.

How much does a taxi ride cost in Ibiza?

The price depends on the kilometres shown on the taximeter, so it varies with the route and the traffic. To get an idea, add the flag-fall charge to the price per kilometre:

  • 10 km on a weekday: €4.35 + 10 × €1.32 = €17.55.
  • 10 km at night or on a public holiday: €4.35 + 10 × €1.60 = €20.35.
  • If you leave from the airport or the port, add €2.15; and if you booked by phone or app, another €1.60.

We recommend checking whether getting to your accommodation works out cheaper with a hire car in Ibiza.

These examples are only a guide: the amount you pay is the one on the taximeter, under the official fares of the Consell d’Eivissa.
