Tourist Guide to Sant Carles de Peralta or San Carlos

San Carlos brings together the beauty of Ibiza’s most historic side in a very peaceful setting.

About six kilometres from the centre of Santa Eulària lies the parish of Sant Carles de Peralta, or San Carlos. It is made up of the vendas of es Figueral, Morna, Atzaró and Peralta; the last of these gives the parish its name, and it is home to a late 18th-century church known for its porch.

The main access is at the northern exit of Santa Eulària, and it is a common route to the coves along the coast, such as the well-known Cala de San Vicente.

A village with an old-time feel

As soon as you arrive in Sant Carles de Peralta you will notice the calm of a village in the north of the island, with green fields dotted with old farmhouses, such as Es Trui de Ca’n Andreu, from the 17th century. The Font de Morna spring and the village square complete a place full of charm.

The Torre d’en Valls is in Sant Carles de Peralta, next to Canal d’en Martí, also known as Pou des Lleó. You can get there by road, although the last stretch has to be done on foot.
