Molí d’en Simó is an old windmill converted into a community centre
Right in the town centre of Sant Antoni stands the Molí d’en Simó. Ibiza is full of windmills, but this one has a peculiarity: it is the only Majorcan-style windmill on the island. The difference lies in its two-storey construction, with the lower part used as a storeroom and living quarters and the upper part supporting the windmill’s shaft. It dates from the early 20th century and, before tourism changed the face of Sant Antoni, its position on one of the highest points in town let it catch the winds coming in from the sea.
How to get to the Molí d’en Simó
Getting to the Molí d’en Simó is easy if you know where it is, because there are hardly any signs. To avoid going round in circles, take Avenida de Isidor Macabich, which climbs up from the harbour with the sea on your left. At the top of the hill you reach the highest point in town, where the sunsets are spectacular. The windmill is on the street right behind you.
