Why do I hesitate?
It is common to see how people confuse both terms. And much more normal account that tourists come from a Cove with a bad taste in the mouth, after spending the day between trees and rocks, without finding a place where lie.
A Cove is a section of a Bay of rounded shape where the sea enters making mischief. There or not sand or pebbles, what we know as beach, is another thing.
In Ibiza, when we hear of beaches or coves, also we are differentiating between two ways of understanding holidays. The beaches of Ibiza, perhaps by being more open and introduce more developable coast, relate to purely tourist or lively places. Thus we find ourselves with the Beach d’ Bossa, Sant Josep, or playa Talamanca Ibiza. We have another clear example in las Salinas, which still is a beach located in the reserve, without noteworthy buildings, presents an animation out of the ordinary thanks to the world rose that it invades every summer. We have evident example of tiny Beach and party atmosphere in Port des Torrent, in Sant Antoni. With almost tiny dimensions, this beach shares the sea with local acquaintances of ambient music.
The coves of Ibiza can be categorized as collected, calm waters nearby. Some have very open sections although the current is usually soft. Cala D’hort is located between them. Others on the contrary it is hard see the entry of sea and the waves calm prevails, as if it were a swimming pool, as in Cala Carbó. There are always exceptions and some like Cala Jondal, presents music bars beach. However air of tranquillity can continue to breathe is to reach the shore.
Although the coves of Ibiza tend to be less masificadas, the shortage of sand present can make more difficult to find a place where to put the towel. But if the absence of sand does not annoy you, just reach a stretch of coastline far away to rest people.
