Sant Jordi is the closest village to Ibiza Airport, and a place full of charm
Sant Jordi de Ses Salines is one of the most industrialised parishes on the island. For centuries it was a stopping point between the salt flats and Ibiza Town. In the last century, the building of the airport strengthened that role and filled its surroundings, especially the road that links them, with around a hundred industrial units.
A quiet village
Even so, the village centre is still almost untouched, with the church as its landmark and little houses of barely two storeys. Since the airport road was moved outside the town centre, the village has got its peace and quiet back.

Pou Roig
Pou Roig is an old well at a crossroads in the village itself and, after the church, probably its most notable heritage feature.

The church stands right in the centre of Sant Jordi. To get there, take the road that runs through the village, the one that used to be the way to the airport.

Sant Francesc, 3 km away
