This beach is located at a halfway point between Ibiza and Sant Josep, about ten kilometres away from both municipalities. We could describe Cala Bol Nou as multiple sandy beaches separated by rocky areas. It is a Bay with areas of beaches of hundred meters and an average width of eight meters. The beaches are made up of fine sand with enough rocks to use makeshift seats. A few meters from the shore the depth is increased considerably, not making it suitable for bathing young children or people who have not learned to swim.

The landscape in Bol Nou or Sa Caleta

The seabed is full of vegetation and fish, but always bearing in mind our respect for the environment, we limit ourselves to tourist diving, as we are in one of the most important marine reserves in the Balearic Islands. With regard to the wind, the loose winds from the sea to the ground dominate thanks to its closed form. The area is surrounded by pine trees, accompanied by large land slopes and steep areas, so we must extreme caution if we decide to explore it on foot. Characteristics of the beach of Bol Nou or Sa Caleta

On the Beach we can find services of parasols and hammocks, as well as bars and restaurants that will cover our needs. Food in this area usually includes fresh fish menus and the famous Fideuá. It is an ideal area to seek tranquility and enjoy the seascape and terrestrial landscape. The easiest way to get there is from Ibiza, taking the airport road. When we are about to arrive at the airport, we turn right in the direction of Cala Jondal. After crossing about four kilometres of road in not very good condition we will find a detour towards Sa Caleta that we must take. We can arrive by private car or moped, not choosing the bike if we are not quite fit.
