However, to this day, the beach is not exclusive place or for some and for others, being able qualify as one of the beaches where most it has respected the natural landscape that surrounds it. Access to this beach is from the roundabout of Sant Jordi, a population belonging to the municipality of Sant Josep which lies half way between the airport and Ibiza. If we go by the highway, we will have to get out of it to reach the indication of Sant Jordi, and immediately search the roundabout at the exit of the village, towards the airport, where you will find signs to the Ses Salines Beach at the junction next to the airport. Once we continue along the road, you will find the detour to Es Cavallet well signposted. We will find in Es Cavalleria

The road that leads to the beach is quite narrow in some sections, where we will have to give up or let us pass, but at the same time we can contemplate the landscape of the salt flats, a plain separated by large rectangles where the Water from the sea dries, leaving way for a froth that will gradually become salt. At the end of the road, after a turn to the left, we will see an old water mill, starting from which the free parking area begins, although we can also access a small guarded parking. Before entering the Beacharea, we can contemplate the salt in all its splendor if we go back a few steps. Thanks to the shallowness of the area, and the rich vegetation, the footed birds find a good place to feed. It will not be strange to contemplate some flamenco or heron pecking at the bottom of some salt.

Nature in Es Cavalleria

When we get out of the car the first thing that draws our attention is a small shop covered by reeds, curiously integrated into the landscape, where we can buy some souvenir or some of cream for the body. The great salinity of these waters makes the protection of the skin especially important. After walking a few meters in the sand, we discovered some perfectly decorated bars that invite you to drink something fresh. Some low and old houses a few meters from the coast and some sea huts compose the remains of civilization. Looking to the beach of Es Cavalleria, with more than one kilometer of extension, we will find a very fine sand, that enters a sea of celestial waters, with little depth in the first meters. In the background, a group of islets giving way to Formentera. The wind tends to blow loose in a relaxed and deeply respectful environment.
