The Bastion Of Sant Pere is one of the seven pentagonal pieces that compose the Wall Of Dalt Vila, the upper city. It Began to be built in 1555, after the bastions of Sant Jordi and Sant Jaume, which are joined by a curtain. Its current form takes Place at the end of the SIXTEENTH century when the Knight of Sant LLuc is added. In fact it is an elevation of the bastion that allows to place a piece of artillery from which to counteract a possible attack to another bastion.

Cultural Events in the Bastion of Sant Pere

Perhaps as the bastion furthest from the main entrance, the Puerta de Ses Taules, an access was built through the Portal Nou.

Currently, the Baluarte de Sant Pere gives shelter to numerous cultural events, as well as representations in some of the areas of the enclosure and audiovisual performances.
