It is located about thirteen kilometers from Ibiza and ten from Sant Josep. It is a large bay, which by its South orientation and morphology is quite protected from the wind. This protection has allowed the formation of boulders on the shore, which are transformed into soft sandy areas in the interior of the sea. They have a height, being able to access sea in forty meters without getting water to cover us, which make it an ideal place for families and senior citizens. The wind always blows from sea to land, which allow a soft wind always shelter from the structure of the own Cove. The Beach is flanked by fields with agriculture typical of the island and features spectacular views, while being surrounded by sea inlets, the hours of sunbathing are reduced. There is also a torrent which flows directly into the sea.

Access to Cala Jondal

It is accessed from the Airport road, taking the turning on the right towards Cala Jondal. The last piece of road is not in very good condition, with a rather narrow and winding road. If you reach the San Jose Road, you can also find a detour on kilometer 7. The access is recommended through your own vehicle, although you can also go by bike if you are used to using these media. The new physiognomy of Cala Jondal

I haven’t visited this beach in a long time. The parking lots have become a parking area for the beach bars of La Cala. It is curious the transformation that has suffered the shore, where they have installed three music bars that divide the beach in three very different environments. We can find the last bar conditioned for rich people. The one covering the middle area is aimed at young people. The first one is the most VIP we can get to find. Cala Jondal is well equipped with hammocks and parasols, and showers. In addition, the beach is surrounded by an outdoor warning beacon for swimmers. Also noteworthy is a pedalos service and a beach volleyball court. We can eat at a bar or restaurant in the area and even enjoy the night in several places.
